Rakhi with Dry Fruits

Almond, pista, cashew, walnut and saffron — the long-shelf-life Raksha Bandhan gift.

A rakhi-with-dry-fruits hamper bundles the consecrated rakhi with a graded assortment of nuts and dried fruits — typically almond (badam), pistachio (pista), cashew (kaju), walnut (akhrot), figs (anjeer), dates (khajoor) and saffron (kesar) — chosen for their long shelf life, near-universal palatability, and Ayurvedic alignment with the late-monsoon Raksha Bandhan season. DivineTatva sources dry fruits from a single Jaipur wholesale family that has supplied the city's mithai shops since the 1970s; the Kashmiri saffron is Mongra-grade, verified by the GI tag.

Questions

About dry fruits.

What dry fruits are included in the hamper?

Standard 250g hamper: 50g each of almond (California), cashew (W320 Kerala), pistachio (Iranian), raisins (Afghan) and dates (Medjool). 500g and 1kg tiers add walnut (Kashmiri), anjeer (Turkish), and saffron (Kashmiri Mongra-grade). Vegan, gluten-free, no preservatives. Full ingredient list printed on the lid.

Is the saffron really Kashmiri Mongra-grade?

Yes — verified by the Geographical Indication (GI) tag certificate which accompanies every hamper that contains saffron. Mongra is the top grade of Kashmiri saffron (long, deep-red threads, high crocin content). Each saffron pod in our hamper is 0.5g — enough for ~25 servings of kesar-based dishes.

How long do the dry fruits stay fresh in the hamper?

Stored at room temperature in the original sealed pouches: almond, cashew, walnut — 6 months. Pistachio — 4 months (oil content). Raisins, dates, figs — 8-10 months. Saffron — 2 years (in the dark). The hamper itself ships in moisture-proof inner pouches inside the gift box.

Are the dry fruits roasted or raw?

Standard hamper: raw + naturally dried. We offer a 'roasted & salted' option (no preservatives, sea salt only) — mention in checkout notes. Roasted variants have slightly shorter shelf life (3 months instead of 6) due to oil oxidation.

Can I customise the dry-fruit selection?

Yes — for orders above 500g you can specify your preferred nut/fruit ratio in checkout notes. Standard ratios are equal-weight; preferences (e.g. heavier on pistachio, no raisins, extra saffron) are accommodated free. For Jain-friendly dry-fruit assortments (no specific nuts considered tamasic), mention 'Jain' in notes.

What is the wooden box used in premium hampers?

The 1kg premium hamper ships in a hand-finished sheesham (Indian rosewood) box with brass inlay — approx 12 x 8 x 4 inch. Reusable as a jewellery or memorabilia box after the dry fruits are eaten. Sourced from a Jodhpur woodcraft family.
