Idols & Murtis
Brass, marble dust & crystal murtis for home and puja
A murti is a consecrated idol of a deity used as a focus for daily worship in the Hindu tradition. Material and posture carry meaning — a seated Lakshmi for stability of wealth, a standing Ganesha for new beginnings. DivineTatva murtis are cast in brass, carved marble dust or natural crystal by Jaipur artisans and energised before despatch.
About Idols & Murtis
Which direction should an idol face at home?
The deity should face west so that the worshipper faces east while praying. Keep murtis in the north-east (ishan) corner of the home for best effect.
How tall should a home puja idol be?
For home worship, idols under 9 inches (a hand-span) are traditionally recommended; larger murtis are meant for temples.
How do I clean a brass idol?
Wipe with a soft dry cloth daily. For tarnish, use a paste of lemon and salt or a mild brass cleaner monthly, then re-energise with incense and a lamp.
Are the idols energised?
Yes, each murti is consecrated with mantra by our astrologers; you may also do a simple pran pratishtha at home, instructions included.
