We do not sell a gemstone without an independent certificate from GIA, IGI or GRS. The certificate ships with the stone, is uploaded to your account as a PDF, and is verifiable on the issuing lab's website. If the stone doesn't match its certificate, we offer a full refund plus ₹500 — no questions asked.
Which labs we use — and why.
The global standard for diamonds and coloured stones. GIA reports are accepted by every major exchange, auction house and insurer. Our sapphires, rubies and emeralds are GIA-certified.
IGI certifies a wide range of coloured stones and lab-grown diamonds. Widely recognised across India and Europe. We use IGI for many of our semi-precious stones and pearl lots.
GRS is the specialist for Kashmir sapphires, Burmese rubies and Ceylon stones. Our premium-tier colour stones carry GRS origin reports — the benchmark for collector-grade pieces.

- 01Rough sourcing
Direct from miners and established trade relationships in Ceylon, Kashmir, Burma and Zambia — not wholesale aggregators.
- 02First inspection
Every parcel is loupe-graded under 10× magnification by our Jaipur gemologist before lab submission. Visibly flawed or off-spec stones are rejected here.
- 03Lab submission
Approved stones are sent to GIA / IGI / GRS for formal grading. Typical turn: 10-21 days. We do not expedite — rushed reports get less scrutiny.
- 04Certificate review
Our gemologist reviews every returned report. Anything graded lower than listed spec is returned to the supplier, not sold.
- 05Certificate sealed with stone
The physical certificate is sealed in a tamper-evident sleeve with the stone before dispatch. Breaking the seal voids the original pairing — which is why we use seals rather than loose inserts.

Which labs certify DivineTatva gemstones?
We use GIA (Gemological Institute of America), IGI (International Gemological Institute) and GRS (GemResearch Swisslab) depending on the stone type and origin. GIA and IGI are the two most widely recognised globally; GRS specialises in colour stones from Kashmir, Burma and Ceylon.
What does the certificate verify?
Every certificate states: (1) natural vs synthetic origin, (2) treatment status — heated, unheated, clarity-enhanced or none, (3) weight in carats, (4) species and variety (e.g. corundum, sapphire, Ceylon origin), and (5) clarity grade for diamonds. The certificate number is embossed and verifiable on the lab's website.
How do I verify my certificate online?
GIA: enter your report number at gia.edu/report-check. IGI: verify at igiworldwide.com/en/check. GRS: verify at gemresearch.ch. The digital record will match the physical certificate shipped with your order. If any detail doesn't match, contact care@divinetatva.com within 7 days for a full refund plus ₹500 compensation.
Do rudraksha beads come with certificates?
Rudraksha beads are X-ray tested for mukhi (face) count and shape integrity — not gem-lab certified since they are botanical, not mineral. Each rudraksha ships with an authenticity card stating the origin (Nepal or Indonesia, clearly labelled), mukhi count, X-ray test date and bead grade. Premium Nepal-origin rudraksha above ₹2,000 also comes with a GIA-partnered lab's botanical origin report on request.
Is the certificate physical or digital?
Physical certificate ships inside the parcel in a tamper-evident sealed sleeve. A digital scan is also uploaded to your account under 'My Orders → Certificate'. You can download and share the PDF.
What if my gemstone has no certificate in the box?
Every order over ₹1,500 ships with a certificate. If yours is missing, email care@divinetatva.com with your order number — we'll courier the original within 5 working days at no charge. For orders under ₹1,500 (small chips, tumbles), a batch certificate is included in the packaging instead of a per-stone report.
