Amethyst Pyramid — Brazilian Royal Purple 2 inch, Third-Eye Activator
- Amethyst is regarded in crystal-healing tradition as the foremost third-eye chakra stone — believed to enhance intuition, dream clarity and inner sight.
- The violet wavelength of amethyst is the highest-frequency colour in the visible spectrum, and metaphysical tradition links this to higher-mind and crown-chakra energies.
- Calming sleep aid: many users place amethyst by the bedside for anxiety-related insomnia, attributing the effect to the stone's traditional sobriety/calming associations.
- The pyramid shape focuses amethyst's diffuse field through the apex — particularly useful when directed at the brow centre during meditation.
- Brazilian amethyst is geologically prized for deep, even violet saturation — our pieces are hand-selected for "royal" colour grade without heat treatment.
About this piece
The Amethyst Pyramid is hand-lapped from Brazilian violet quartz — the world's most prized amethyst source, mined primarily in Rio Grande do Sul and Bahia. Mineralogically amethyst is silicon dioxide (SiO₂, Mohs 7) coloured by trace iron and natural irradiation, which produces the signature violet hue ranging from pale lavender to royal Siberian purple. Our 2-inch piece carries the Giza-replica 51°50' apex. In crystal-healing tradition amethyst governs the third-eye chakra (ajna, between the brows) and the crown chakra (sahasrara), and is regarded as the stone of sobriety, intuition and calm. The Greek name amethystos means "not intoxicated" — the stone was historically carved into wine cups to ward off drunkenness. Purpose: meditation deepening, anxiety relief, dream clarity, third-eye opening. Placement: bedroom (for sleep), meditation room, or office (to reduce stress). Energetically classed as cooling and sattvic.

How to wear
Place the pyramid on the bedside table to aid sleep and dream recall, or on your meditation altar for ajna-chakra work. During meditation, sit with the apex pointed toward your brow centre at a comfortable distance, or rest the pyramid on the forehead while lying supine for 5-10 minutes (only with a smooth, polished pyramid). Cleanse monthly under cool running water — avoid direct prolonged sunlight which fades the violet colour. Recharge under moonlight.
Frequently asked
Why specifically Brazilian amethyst and not Indian or African?
Brazilian amethyst (Rio Grande do Sul, Bahia) is geologically known for the deepest, most even violet colour, often without the colour-banding seen in some African material. Indian amethyst tends paler. Our 2-inch pieces use Brazilian rough for premium colour grade.
Will the colour fade?
Amethyst fades on prolonged direct sunlight exposure (the iron-irradiation colour centres are light-sensitive). Keep your pyramid away from a sunny windowsill and the colour will remain stable for decades.
Does amethyst really help with sleep?
There is no clinical proof, but amethyst's tradition as a sleep-and-anxiety aid is centuries old and many users report calmer sleep with a pyramid on the bedside table. Part of the benefit may be the ritual of attention and the visual calm of the stone itself.
Can amethyst be used with a copper pyramid?
Yes — many practitioners pair a Vastu copper pyramid (for spatial energy) with a personal amethyst pyramid (for mental calm). Keep them at least 30 cm apart for clearest individual fields.
How do I cleanse amethyst?
Cool running water for 30-60 seconds weekly, plus monthly moonlight (Purnima night) charging. Avoid salt water and avoid direct sunlight longer than 10 minutes.
Is the pyramid synthetic or natural?
All DivineTatva amethyst pyramids are carved from natural Brazilian rough — no synthetic, no dyed, no heat-treated material. We provide a mineral-source statement with each premium piece. ---
