The Selenite Pyramid is hand-lapped from Moroccan satin-spar selenite — a translucent fibrous variety of gypsum (CaSO₄·2H₂O, Mohs 2) prized for its silky moonlit lustre. Moroccan deposits in the Atlas Mountains produce the finest commercial satin spar with long, parallel fibres that create the signature "cat's eye" chatoyancy. Selenite is named after Selene, the Greek moon goddess, and in crystal-healing tradition it occupies a unique position: it is one of the very few stones believed to cleanse and recharge other crystals without itself needing cleansing. How to wear

Why can't selenite touch water?
