How to wear

Set up your puja space on the planet's designated day — Sunday for Surya (red), Monday for Chandra (white), Tuesday for Mangal (dark red), Wednesday for Budha (green), Thursday for Brihaspati (yellow), Friday for Shukra (white-pink), Saturday for Shani (black), Saturday night for Rahu (dark blue), and Saturday or a specific muhurta for Ketu (grey). Place the candle on a heat-resistant brass or ceramic plate with the planet's image or yantra behind it. Trim the wick to 6 mm before lighting. Chant the planet's Beej mantra 11 or 108 times, then light the candle and meditate with a focused intention for 15 to 60 minutes. Extinguish with a candle snuffer — never blow out the flame. Candle care: Burn on a flat heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials and drafts. Never leave burning candles unattended. Trim wick to 6mm before each use. Do not burn for more than 2 hours at a stretch. Store upright in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is included in the DivineTatva Navagraha Candle Set?

The set includes nine colour-coded ritual candles (one per Graha), each inscribed with the planet's Beej mantra and planetary symbol, plus a bilingual Hindi-English ritual instruction card detailing the correct day, mantra, and procedure for each candle.

Are the colours certified to Vedic specifications?

Yes. DivineTatva uses Jaipur lab-certified dye batches verified against a Vedic planetary colour reference chart. Each batch is tested before production to ensure Surya is warm red (not orange), Shani is true black/dark navy (not grey), and all nine colours meet the Vedic standard.

How long does each candle burn?

Each candle provides a minimum of 2 hours of burn time. Do not burn for more than 2 hours in a single session. If you need more time, extinguish with a snuffer, allow to cool, then relight in a subsequent session.

Can I use this set if I am new to Vedic ritual?

Yes. The included bilingual instruction card walks you through the correct day, Beej mantra, and ritual steps for each of the nine planets. No prior knowledge of Vedic astrology is required to begin.

Do you offer COD delivery?

Yes. Cash on delivery is available across India with no prepayment required. Standard delivery takes 3–5 business days. Order tracking is provided.

Is this set a good gift for someone going through Shani Sade Sati?

Yes. The full set is a thoughtful and practical gift — it includes the Shani candle specifically and provides the complete ritual toolkit so the recipient can begin practice immediately, without needing additional research.

Can I light all nine candles at once?

Full nine-candle Navagraha Puja is typically performed on special occasions under a priest's guidance or on auspicious dates. For regular home practice, lighting one candle on its designated planet day is the standard approach.

What wax is used in these candles?

A soy-paraffin blend — soy for cleaner, lower-soot burn and paraffin for colour-holding stability and structural integrity. This combination ensures the Vedic colour pigments remain vibrant throughout the full burn.

Can I use these candles near children or pets?

No. Burning candles should always be kept out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from all flammable materials before lighting.

Is this product suitable for non-Hindus or those without an astrological background?

Yes. Many practitioners use Navagraha candles as a structured mindfulness and intention-setting tool, independent of religious affiliation or astrological knowledge. The instruction card makes the practice accessible without a background in Vedic astrology.

Does DivineTatva claim the candles will change my astrological situation?

No. DivineTatva is transparent: these candles are a ritual aid for focused devotional practice. They are not a mechanism for guaranteed planetary intervention. They are not a substitute for professional astrological advice.

What should I do with the candle remains after it is fully used?

Dispose of spent ritual wax respectfully. A common traditional practice is to wrap the remains in a clean cloth and place them near a tree or flowing water. Avoid placing ritual items loosely in general waste.
