Brass Meru Shree Yantra Pyramid — Hand-Engraved 3 inch, Tantric Tradition
- The Meru (3D Shree Yantra) is considered in Shri Vidya tradition the highest geometric expression of Lakshmi-Tripura Sundari — substantially more potent than the flat plate yantra.
- Each tier of the stepped pyramid corresponds to one of the nine avaranas of the Shree Chakra, allowing layered tantric sadhana not possible with a 2D yantra.
- Brass (an alloy of copper and zinc) is the traditional Vedic metal for yantras intended for daily worship — durable, golden-toned and considered sattvic.
- Hand-engraved by Jaipur artisans: each triangle and lotus petal is chiselled rather than machine-stamped, preserving the prana the Shilpa Shastra texts associate with hand-crafted ritual objects.
- Placed in business or home, the Meru is traditionally believed to remove the nine major obstacles (navagraha doshas) and attract sustained prosperity rather than sudden gain.
About this piece
The Brass Meru Pyramid is a hand-engraved three-dimensional projection of the Shree Yantra — the sacred geometric diagram of nine interlocking triangles (four upward Shiva, five downward Shakti) surrounded by lotus petals and the bhupura square. Cast in solid pure brass (Cu-Zn alloy) and hand-chiselled by our Jaipur metal artisans, the 3-inch Meru rises as a stepped pyramid where each tier corresponds to one of the nine avaranas (enclosures) of the Shree Chakra culminating in the bindu at the apex. In Shri Vidya tantric tradition the Meru is considered substantially more potent than a flat (two-dimensional) Shree Yantra plate because the three-dimensional form completes the geometry the flat drawing only suggests. Purpose: prosperity, spiritual elevation, Lakshmi sadhana, removal of all obstacles. Placement: puja altar facing East, North zone, or business cash counter. Energetically classed as the supreme yantra in Shaktism.

How to wear
Establish the Meru on your puja altar facing East, on a clean red or yellow cloth, ideally on a Friday or during Navratri. Daily worship: light a ghee diya, offer red flowers (jaswand/hibiscus) and kumkum, chant "Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalaye Praseed Praseed Shreem Hreem Shreem Om Mahalakshmye Namah" 108 times. Re-energise annually on Diwali night with a 108-times mantra plus panchamrit abhishek (milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar). Brass develops a natural deep golden patina with worship — never polish aggressively.
Frequently asked
How is a Meru different from a flat Shree Yantra?
A flat Shree Yantra is a 2D engraved plate. A Meru is the same geometry projected into three dimensions as a stepped pyramid — each tier represents one of the nine enclosures. Tantric texts (especially Shri Vidya tradition) consider the Meru substantially more potent because the geometry is "completed" rather than implied.
Is brass or copper better for the Meru?
Both are traditional. Brass (Cu-Zn) is preferred for everyday worship Merus because of its durable golden-yellow surface and lower oxidation. Copper is preferred for Merus used in more intense fire-ritual (homa) settings. Premium practitioners often keep both.
Do I need a guru or priest to install it?
For maximum traditional efficacy, a Shri Vidya initiate performs the pran-pratishtha. However, a sincere householder can perform a simpler ghee-lamp, mantra and intention-setting consecration. DivineTatva pre-energises every Meru on Purnima before despatch.
Will the brass tarnish?
Yes — natural brass develops a deep golden-bronze patina with daily worship, which Hindu tradition considers auspicious. Never use commercial metal polish (chemical residues are unsuitable for puja). Wipe with a dry cotton cloth; for monthly deep cleaning use a paste of tamarind + cold water.
Why is the Meru so much more expensive than a flat yantra?
A hand-engraved 3D Meru takes 18-30 hours of skilled artisan time (versus minutes for a stamped flat plate), uses 6-10× the metal, and requires master-level chiselling for the nine concentric triangular enclosures. The price reflects craft labour, not material alone.
Can I keep the Meru in the bedroom?
Tradition discourages keeping high-powered ritual objects in the bedroom because their active energy is considered unsuitable for sleep. Place in puja room, living room or office instead. ---
