Why wear it
  • Calms an agitated mind and reduces reactive stress — per Shiva Purana; consistent with mantra meditation practice
  • Improves focus and mental clarity during study, creative work, and sadhana — widely reported by practitioners
  • Supports spiritual practice: one mala of Aum Namah Shivaya daily — per Devi Bhagavata — earns merit equivalent to deep tapasya
  • Universally auspicious for all rashis, all genders, all ages from 5+ — no rashi matching required for Panchmukhi
  • Siddha energisation through Pran Pratishta ceremony aligns the mala to the vibrational signature of the Panchakshara mantra
  • The Sumeru bead centres each jaap round — tactile anchor that keeps the mind on mantra rather than on counting
  • Per Padma Purana: continuous wearing of rudraksha provides protection from negative energies and supports overall wellbeing
  • DISCLAIMER: Benefits described are Vedic traditional claims and user-reported experiences, not medically proven outcomes. Not a substitute for medical or psychological advice.

How to wear

Hold the mala in your right hand, draped over the middle finger with the thumb moving each bead inward. Never use the index finger during jaap. Begin at the bead adjacent to the Sumeru (the large head bead) and recite Aum Namah Shivaya once per bead. When you reach the Sumeru after 108 beads, do NOT cross over it — reverse direction for your next round. For daily care: apply one drop of pure til (sesame) or almond oil once a week, rub gently between palms to distribute, and recite Aum Namah Shivaya during oiling. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping unless spiritually instructed otherwise. Do not use soap, detergent, or chemical cleaners. Store in the red or yellow cloth pouch provided when not in use.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is this Rudraksha Mala genuine Nepali rudraksha?

Yes. DivineTatva sources directly from Nepali Himalayan foothills suppliers and provides a third-party lab certificate with every mala confirming the species as Elaeocarpus ganitrus and the mukhi count. The certificate is traceable to the testing laboratory.

What does 'Siddha Mala' mean?

Siddha means the mala has been energised through a full Pran Pratishta ceremony — including invocation of Lord Shiva, 108 recitations of Aum Namah Shivaya over the mala, and sealing with the appropriate mudra and sankalpa. This is included at no extra cost.

Can anyone wear this mala, or is it rashi-specific?

Anyone can wear Panchmukhi Rudraksha — it is universally auspicious and requires no rashi matching, dietary changes, or lifestyle adjustments per the Shiva Purana. Suitable for all genders, all rashis, and children from age 5.

How do I do jaap with this mala?

Hold in right hand over the middle finger. Use thumb to move each bead inward. Recite Aum Namah Shivaya once per bead. Begin next to the Sumeru bead and never cross it — reverse direction at the Sumeru. One full round = 108 recitations. Minimum 1 round per day; 3 or 11 rounds for deeper sadhana.

Does the mala come energised (Siddha)?

Yes — every DivineTatva Rudraksha Mala is energised through a full Pran Pratishta before dispatch. It arrives wrapped in a red or yellow pouch to preserve the energisation. No additional ceremony is required before use, though you may choose to do your own sankalpa.

What oil should I use for the weekly care ritual?

Pure til (sesame) oil or cold-pressed sweet almond oil — one drop per week. Rub gently between palms with the mala laid across them. Recite Aum Namah Shivaya during oiling. Never use coconut oil, mineral oil, or scented products directly on the beads.

Is Cash on Delivery available?

Yes. DivineTatva offers COD across India for this product. UPI, debit/credit card, and net banking are also accepted.

What is the Sumeru bead and what do I do at it?

The Sumeru (also called Meru or Bindu) is the single large bead at the top of the mala — the 109th bead. It is the marker for one complete round of jaap. When your thumb reaches it, pause, touch it to your forehead, then reverse direction for the next round. Never cross the Sumeru.

Can I wear this mala while sleeping?

Most traditions recommend removing the mala before sleep to prevent tangling and breakage. Store in the pouch provided. Some traditions allow continuous wearing by Guru's instruction — follow your own lineage guidance.

How is this mala different from cheaper ₹200 malas on other sites?

Lower-priced malas typically use smaller (4–5mm) Indonesian rudraksha with no lab certificate and no Pran Pratishta energisation. DivineTatva's ₹999 mala uses 7–8mm Nepali beads, comes with a third-party lab certificate confirming species and mukhi count, and is energised through a full Siddha ceremony.

What if a bead cracks or the string breaks?

Surface micro-cracks from normal use are cosmetic and normal — increase oiling frequency. If a bead cracks structurally or the string frays, contact DivineTatva for re-stringing guidance. A broken mala should be repaired promptly; per tradition, retire a deeply cracked bead by burying it in clean soil or placing it in a river.

Does this mala include a lab certificate?

Yes — a third-party lab certificate confirming Elaeocarpus ganitrus species and Panchmukhi (5-faced) mukhi count is included in every order. The certificate, care card, and red/yellow pouch come with your mala at no extra charge.
